i just got irritated and annoyed whenever i saw anyone wrote that (especially in sms @ fb)..

it has now become a norm among kids and teenagers (aged 10-19). i really found it hard to comprehend the gist of their messages..

is it just me or the kids are now molded in that new style of writing? i just don't understand myself..

call me conservative, but i do really think it has more banes than boons. sometimes they just find it hard to distinguish between the real spelling with their new-created spelling. worst comes to worst, they would use 'their' spelling in exam. i had found so many in my students' essay..

maybe these kids just don't understand what SMS stands for. FYI, it stands for short message service which means you need to make your message short, simple yet comprehensible. i believe what they do is more to lengthening the words, i.e:

apa/ape => apew

je => jew

kah/ke => kew

siapa/sape => cpew

lah => lew

baru => bwu

cerita/cite => ctew

and the list goes on..

senang sangat nak cakap camtu. wat salah (yang berdosa),pastu cakap camtu. ramai artis kat Malaysia ni yang suka guna ayat ni. seronok diorang. bajet kalau cakap camtu nampak cam diorang tau hukum hakam agama. so, peminat2 tak la marah sangat. senangnya hidup..

semua yang diorang wat, seolah-olah ' dihalalkan' dengan ayat tu. yang baru ni, ada seorang artis perempuan botakkan rambut & cakap "tuhan tahu niat saya untuk memperjuangkan nilai seni"..

senang hati dia cakap camtu.sambil tersenyum sipu. nasib baek dia kalah masa festival filem baru ni.haha..

kalau camtu, apa guna diturunkan Al-Quran dan hadis yang Rasulullah s.a.w tinggalkan? apa guna hukum-hakam agama? kalau camtu gak,bolehlah aku wat jahat kat sape2 & cakap "xpe,tuhan tau niat saya wat camtu.." senang hidop!

lebih kurang sama gak kisah seorang lagi artis yang cakap "saya tak bukak aurat pun"..bijak laksana sungguh yang seorang ni walaupun dia pakai mini skirt je masa wat show..

kesimpulannya, artis Malaysia memang x boleh dijadikan contoh langsung. masa Wardina cakap camni dulu, ramai artis melenting. x setuju. tapi memang betol pun. tapi x boleh nak tulis lebih2,nanti kena saman pulak.huhu.. *hak kebebasan bersuara (la sangat..)

konfrontasi & berterus terang

it's been a while since i wrote my last entry. i know, but the workload and FB really stopped me form blogging. plus, there's nothing much for me to blog about. i believe people's eye rarely drop by at my blog wasting reading 'the nothingness' in here..

confrontation - a word that might scare some of us (the guilty one,perhaps) but reveals the whole truth..

why is it important? - so that everyone would know what and how to correct and where to begin (the correction). but somehow, people would rather hide behind their own shadow; pretending nothing happens and ignore those who are involved. how on earth do you expect things to be back to normal if u are afraid of confrontation? *chicken?

why do some people afraid of confrontation? - because they are GUILTY. because they do not want to be BLAMED. because they are STUPID and because they don't want to fix the problems. running away from it is not helpful, not at all. trust me..

berterus-terang - ramai orang takut nak b'terus-terang sbb diorg tak terus & tak terang. they might not have enough guts to do this. kesian, ape gune ade akal kalau tak guna. lebih baik terus terang drpd gunakan FB dan blog jadi senjata. kesian. baik jadi bisu..

i'm not using this blog as my weapon, but i'm just curious. i don't think i've problems with anyone. thus, if i do - please LET ME KNOW!

jadi,kalau da tetibe korang hilang kawan sbab dia takut ngan konfrontasi (skema sungguh) terpakse r korang terima. tapi, kalau hilang kawan jenis camtu, TAK RUGI langsung kot. kalau kita betul, 1 pergi, 10 mari. one day, people would see that person's true colour..

*patut r tatie namakan blog dia konfrontasi tatie. baru aku paham apa yang dia rasa.hehe..

ever heard of Malay saying 'macam ayam ngan itik bercakap'. that is what always happens in my class, especially for BEL 011. and if any of them reading this, yes, i'm referring to you. it's so funny sometimes when i asked them in English, they would reply in Malay (with their state dialects, of course. luckily I could still understand it). i'm too tired of asking them to use English in my class. luckily there are still some of them who really try and make an effort to speak in English..

imperfect. that's the perfect word in defining human being. i'm sure + confident there's always a reason why we were created as imperfect creatures. Only Allah s.w.t is PERFECT..

we have NO right in perfecting others but we are encouraged to correct each other. there's nothing wrong in correcting mistake or listening to others. we are living in society, with people around us. you can never live on your own..

BUT, don't simply correct people around you without having the guts to listen on what people have to say about you. YOU are NOT perfect. WE are IMPERFECT. there's always good approaches/methods in communicating with others. don't ever wish @ think you are the only one deserve to judge + criticize + correct people. go to #el! !!!

it's actually a tagline taken from a movie called Adnan Sempit. I went to see this movie last night with my friends. Believe me, it was full house, even though it had been showed for 22 days. I was quite surprise when I entered the cinema. It was like the first day of movie showing. Indeed, it was an achievement for a Malay movie. As u guys know, I'm not a movie critic nor a movie reviewer. I just wanna share my view on this movie. I saw the poster of this movie in Metro just now and it said 711,999 people has seen Adnan Sempit so far. It was a really 'Wow!' for me. I bet there must be something about this movie that we can rarely see in other movies (especially Malay movies):

i) no slapstick dialog. it was very relax & 'slumber'

ii) the storyline was not dragged away with stupid & unreasonable conflict

iii) the use of songs was effective

iv) good facial expressions (not all, but most of the actors did a great job)

v) not a typical rempit movie (so, parents can bring the whole family to come & catch the movie together)

for some reasons, I just feel the movie was very entertaining. I don't know why, but it really had the x-factor that perhaps other Malay movies did not have. this maybe not a winning award movie, but it was a worth 90minutes spend movie.

well, let's congratulate Ahmad Idham for his great success in making the movie. =D

first of all, i'm not a good movie reviewer.i just feel like writing about this movie (Jin Notti) which i have just downloaded & watched on my snail-ram-laptop.this is not really a movie review,it's more like a 'journal' after watching a movie and what can be shared from it..

some people might think that this movie is kinda crap and i believe most of those people who went to cinema for this movie were actually did that for the sake of watching Mawi & Fara Fauzana.well, they might have their own reasons and point of view..

as for me, i think this movie is full of social critiques. despite the fact that this movie is starred by two celebrities who led the main role, its storyline and lessons that lie beneath the dialogs are actually telling us human that: WE ARE WORSE THAN ALL THE JINS..

most of us (teenagers especially) are no longer respecting the adults, ignoring azan, becoming more realistic, selfish, commit stealing without guilty and cheating. all the characters acted by Fara Fauzana were actually a reminder to us that we did all the bad things without realizing it because we were too 'used' to it..

i can't write much since i've no idea how to express my thought and point of view in a written form. i really think this movie is full of messages, though. it's not a really must-watch film, but if you feel like 'waking up' yourself about reality in today's world in a very laid-back way, Jin Notti is the answer. i know it's too late to promote this movie, but you can always download or watch it online..

acting wise, i think Mawi really needs to learn more.he only looked confident doing the fighting scene (which he showed us his Silat Pukul Pelaga). Fara looked more relax and natural while the rest are quite unquestionable since they are talented actors (except for some extras.hehe..)

i'm not a good actor myself.the most important thing is to watch the movie and see how 'nice' the messages are brought up in the storyline..

well, this raya taught me how to be more independent..

it started on the 3rd raya when i went to Penang (from Tem

erloh) by MYSELF (for my friends' engagement). (bangga sungguh diri ini. *sangat mem'BRAG'kan diri.huhu..)

there, i slept at a cheap hotel and had a 'well-taught' experience (i guess)..

on the fifth raya, i went back to my father's kampung. on my way, i dropped by at Hani Laily's house. i really really really had to spend my night there. i had a headache. thanks to her family, her mom especially for a very great hospitality. wish to go there again..

on friday - sunday, my family raya sakan since on the first 3 days f raya, all of my brothers went back to their parents-in-laws'.

it was a very memorable experience..

yesterday was our very last day of practicum. well, as most of my friends felt (or still feel), i was feeling sad as well. leaving them was just like saying good bye to your loved one (wasn't it?)

however, we were treated just like celebrities ysterday. one step moved, a crowd of students came to take pictures. i didn't even have no time to take pictures with the administrator and other staffs since i was very busy entertaining them.

i got presents from them and i gave them presents as well. they were just a simple one, yet meaningful as my friends and i wrapped them ourselves. i've uploaded the pics on my FB account..

wish could stay longer, especially with my 4D class..

yes, it's holiday. i know. but not for me..

however i feel this week has yet given me any pleasure..

monday: came back from Kapar. should teach (home tuition). but it was cancelled. *i'd rather stay home if i knew earlier

tuesday: should finish my test paper for Ss (for AE as well). failed to do so. priority was given to movies.hehe..submitted prac journal with azzati to pn. hamidah..

wednesday: my home tuition student had a 'fever' all of sudden. tuition was cancelled again.

thursday: the day with the most number of 'kegagalan':

1. tuition. again cancelled. reason: one of my Ss had a toothache.*sigh*.

2. went to see miss munirah to ask for her approval (for my test paper) before i give to Ss. she said she needs to see my proposal first. *nape aku lupe nk wat dr awl? urgh!* spent a few hours after terawikh to finish the first chapter and half of chapter 3..

3. paid maintenance + water bill. *bleh plak akak tu xde duit pcah. aku r kne g pcahkan duit tu.naseb baek akak tu chanteq*

friday: at the time of writing, none of 'kegagalan' seemed to appear. hopefully, it won't .huhu..

it's been a while (like 3 months?) since i wrote an entry for this blog. too busy with practicum would be my 1 & only excuse for not updating this dull blog..

there were so many things happened in the past few months that i can't tell all of them. practicum really teaches me what the real world is (sounds like si tenggang's homecoming, doesn't it?)

throughout practicum + being placed in Chinese school makes me realize the things i had overlooked before this.

things i learnt:

1) most of the theories given by seniors for practicum are not all applicable. you need to try them out first. the first two weeks of teaching was really a 'teacher' for me and i got to know my Ss better.

2) my friends & and i who have been placed at this school are really fortunate, i mean lucky as we get full cooperation from the administration of the school.

3) i am now more confident to speak (or should i say use) English in my daily life even though i know it's not as good as my friends'.

4) 1 Malaysia concept is really being practiced in the school and i'm sure our PM must be proud of it (if only he knows the exicstence of the school since it's very small) *i'm not going to be sued/prosecuted for writing this, am i?

5) your Ss are gonna like (and love) you more if you manage to prove that your lessons are more enjoyable than their permanent teachers. (most of my students beg me not to leave them.am i that good? *bragging.huhu..)

6) there are many types of friends:

the one that really there when you need someone to talk to
the one that uses (or manipulates) you as they only remember (and realize your existence) when they are in desperate situation.
the one that you can never call even as a 'friend'
the one that never been there (even though you're hoping the person is there)
the one who still remember you and wants to share their problems as you share yours (thanks Wan.really appreciate it)

7) teachers at Chinese school bother more about their works and never looked at us head to toe as if we are committing any sins or wearing a clown suit. they are willing to give full cooperation if you need any help. and i like this very much.

it's been a while since i updated this very plain blog.let's figure out the problem..
CAUSE: Assignments
EFFECTS: blog was left out-dated, body got less rest, eyes - less close, open more.
CONSEQUENCE: mad, sleepy, hungry & almost dies.huhu..
but now..
everything's done. all assignments had been submitted. there's nothing else to worry about except for exam. damn it!
it's ok. my next paper, Arabic Lg. 3 is on Monday the 10th. 7days from now and my very last paper, Sociolinguistics is on Friday the 14th. phew! just a day before my brother's wedding ceremony. i am so lucky..

moral of the story: do not procrastinate.start your assignments earlier..
story that always comes with the moral: i'm damn so lazy. we can wait until at the end of the sem to finish them off.hehe..

as TESL students, i'm sure there'll be some of us gonna be teachers/lecturers. therefore, I have an advice for you guys. if u follow this, for God's sake, you won't be hated by your students. my advice is:

DO NOT PRACTICE FAVORITISM

if u still insist on practicing it, i suggest you not to hate other students that you do not favor or don't ever say 'You Will Fail' to any of them. this is a sincere suggestion + advice + a little bit of experience..
we are educators. we should treat them EQUALLY. and if you are to treat them unfairly, you'd better QUIT. you are DISQUALIFIED + NOT EFFICIENT + UNETHICAL to be an educator.

fitrah manusia dijadikan untuk membuat silap. dan yang paling penting ialah untuk belajar daripada kesilapan. kenapa kita perlu menyesal dengan apa yang kita buat kalau ia dapt mengajar kita tentang erti kehidupan. penyesalan hanya bagi orang yang tak pernah nak belajar tentang apa itu 'kehidupan'..

kesilapan yang dilakukan oleh seorang manusia terhadap insan lain mungkin terjadi kerana kita sering alpa mengenai perasaan orang lain. tetapi, kadang-kadang manusia itu bukan sahaja ingin menyakitkan hati insan lain. mungkin juga tersalah membuat percaturan dalam mempelajari tentang kehidupan. mungkinkah insan itu mampu dan akan mengampunkannya? itu yang penting. sedangkan Nabi ampunkan umat. kita hanya mampu berserah..

kalau sahaja bisa ku ulangi waktu
pasti ku halang perbuatan lalu
membuat diri kini termangu
berharap, menunggu apa yang akan terjadi padaku

woke up at 6.45 (quite early).bathed.waited for my brother to come and fetch me.went back to kampung.my cousin's wedding.
9.30a.m..
arrived.breakfast.watched tv.slept.my nephew woke me up.went to the kenduri..
at the kenduri..
dishes: nasi minyak, nasi putih, ayam msk merah, daging gulai kawah..
beverage: tasteless syrup.huhu..
had a chat with sedare-mare.went to another knduri.i didn't know who's kenduri and how do we relate.
2nd kenduri..
dish: same as above.plus tempoyak and ikan masin.
beverage: sweet syrup

went back home.

sunday, 17/08/08..
woke up at 9.30a.m. had breakfast. had another knduri. my aunt's neighbour. went there at 12..
12p.m..
arrived.many people.old pak cik karaoke.out of pitch.normal scenario.
dish: same as yesterday.but the ayam msk merah was the best so far.

nazri and i went to karaoke centre at PAS and we sang there.it may seem usual for some of you. but for me, it was extra-ordinary.i bet many of you haven't heard nazri sung. this was all nazri's idea.haha..
we sang 11 songs and the last song was ampunkan aku by Def Gab C.haha.. (for those who know and understand only..)
we planned to sing at Ole2 Bintang Gemilang, but it was full since today is Sunday, Sunday is weekend.thus, it was crowded with people from nowhere.huhu..

my started as soon as i received a message from nazri asking me 'ko dah bgn blom? dh kol 10 ni'. we had to clean all the mess and gotong-royong. i expected at least more than 20 crews of MEKAR to come. however.. no big deal. we are stronger than 30 people.haha..
i had my breakfast with nazri first before we went to the fac together with anchuk. there were about less than 15 crews there (including her) haha..
we managed to do all the jobs in less than 2hours. we had a chat while having nasi lemak and lepak while waiting for our energy to be recharged. later, we went to the intec great hall and 'throw' all the drinks left. one of us (i don't remember who) suggested that we should 'throw' the water into the drain first.it was very fun..

MEKAR has finally over. i'm sure gonna miss all the things that had happened.being an MC for Islamic Fashion Show, 'lightingman' for the closing ceremony, helping almost all the bureaus had given me such a wonderful experience. i love all the jobs..
but,it's not over yet.we have to clean up all the mess tomorrow morning at 11a.m..

the first day of Mega Karnival (MEKAR) 2008 is so tiring. i'm damn tired. how i feel i could have a sleep for more than 10 hours. but i've bowling tournament 2moro.huhu..
hopefully by winning the tournament would make it worth. MESTI MENANG!!!
i stayed at the faculty for the whole day starting from 11 a.m till 6.30 p.m..
i 've visited ALL the booths for more than 3times but i only bought things from food stall.haha. sorry to those selling stalls perfume and all kind of things which were not food.hehe..
can't wait for the Islamic Fashion Show.i'll be hosting it.hopefully everything will be running smoothly as planned (though i don't plan anything at all). it's been a while since i do the hosting job.kinda nervous.just praying for the best..

today was not a really good and nice day for me.so, to make my day more cheerful and colourful, i went for a screaming session at Pusat Hiburan Keluarga Ole2, Shah Alam.huhu..
my fwens who did not make it for the bowling practice yesterday, had their practice today. i hope they had improved and we'll win the first prize..

a day started when i received wo messages from mr. pingu saying that the afternoon class was postponed (cancelled?) and he invited@asked me to come for a bowling practice at 12.since i was informed about the cancellation of our class, thus, with no doubt i replied his SMS by typing OK..
then at 9.40 i woke up coz i need to get an article that should be presented next Monday.i went to the faculty with Azizi and met Pn. Roslinda to get our article..
later on, we had a discussion about fanzine (?- is this the correct spelling of it?). we got the topic RELIGION.so, we decided to add another 2 subtopics under it - cultures & arts. well, it's our job to make it as interesting as possible.insya-Allah..
after the discussion, i had my breakfast with my class-rep, mr. Nazz J.haha..
we decided to go for the bowling practice at 12.but we need to wait for mr. Pingu (Hafriz) and Pie.about an hour later, we received a bad news (unfortunately) by Pie telling us that Hafriz did not want to come as he was very sleepy and Pie was having this 'alien' face.so, we went there with liyana accaompanied watashi wa and datin wan..
another unfortunate event happened there. we had to wait for other bowlers to finish their games since the lanes were all full. but, luck came in and we met the super duper bowler heikal hafiz who was playing - he,him & himself. he invited us to join him.therefore, we didn't have to wait for our turn. while we were busy sharpened and enhanced our skills, the other three musketeers (hehe) went for a karaoke..
i think i am damn ready for the tournament this Friday. and i believed nazri does too. of all the three games, my score were always 100 and above.i think it's considered good for an amature bowler. nazri managed to break his personal high score, by getting the score of 145. i was more than impressed. i wish - we'll win the tournament and win the RM100 of the first prize. Insya-Allah.Amin..

what?! i juts found out Malaysia no. 1 singer had lost to Nicholas Teo (who the 'heaven is this person,anyway?)
The MTV Asia Award Golden M bar for Malaysia's Favourite Artist is no longer Siti's. I wasn't shocked that Siti lost (coz I thought Faizal Tahir would win), but what shock me the most that she lost to this particular person that I believe many of us do not know..
this is what happened when the fingers judged.well, let bygones be bygones. I'm not Siti's fan, but by looking at the nominees and their qualities, I think the title of Favourite Artist for Malaysia should be won by Siti or Faizal Tahir..

faculty of education lost 2-0 to the faculty of accountancy. the game started well for the fac. of edu but half of the first set, the opposition started 'to control' the ball and the match..
there will be another match this saturday for the same match and i pray for our victory. go Fac of EDU..

i went to the Muslim Bank (i bet u know which bank) as soon as my class finished - accompanied by the very patient Nazri. i went to the info counter and told the worker that i need to collect new my ATM card. i lost the old one on Sunday (20th July) and reported it on the next day. she told me last week that the latest date i would be able to collect my new ATM card is on last Monday (28th July). due to my very pack schedule (huhu..), i only managed to collect it yesterday (Wednesday, 30th July).therefore, th worker at the info counter asked me to take my number and WAIT until my number is called. 1352 - the very unlucky number and i don't think you should buy this number if you are to buy 4D.the current number was 1317.thus, i need to wait for the other 35 very loyal customer of the bank to be entertained before they can actually give half of my soul back (my ATM card)..

After waiting for about half an hour (lucky me,that many of them left the bank before they were entertained). impatiently,i went to the counter 1 and start telling the 'kakak' my sad story. she checked my status on the computer and told me that "org Kuantan tak reply lagi la adik.diorang ni memang kadang-kadang camni.lembab sikit." sikit? itu lembab gile nak mampos (quoted from nazz J). later,she asked me to wait for about 8 minutes - waiting for the Kuantan branch to reply the red and important e-mail that had been sent. i opened my account in Kuantan.so, they need to get the confirmation from Kuantan branch before proceed with my new ATM card.
15 minutes later..
I was called by the 'kakak' and she told me the most tragic story of the day - the branch still did NOT reply the e-mail. i was so angry and upset and start saying #$%^& things (not in front of her.hehe..) she was mad too. i told the very nice 'kakak' that i will come again today.maybe after class. she gave me three forms to be filled and given to her today.good news is, i don't have to queue and wait for my number to be called. Alhamdulillah..
I do really hope everything will be OK. Amin..

wednesday, 30th July 2008. my day started as i woke up at 9.30a.m - right after i received message from wan nurul asking for my consultation (huhu..) whether she should come to the classes for today. well, as an expert in the field of presenting myself to class, i advised her not to come.hehe..
as soon as i entered the very first class,a permanent resident of the north pole, pingu (according to nazri) was busy doing his presentation though more than half of the class (i believed) including me did not pay any attention towards what he was presenting.sorry,hafriz.it's normal and we are used to it.hehe..(that is the main reason of no one asking any questions after the presentation)
then, we had our literature class.poem of the day, woman work by maya angelou(1928) - straightforward, understandable and no further assignment was assigned based on this poem (this is the most important part)..
the class ended @ 1.33p.m and we live happily (not ever after,unfortunately) for the rest of the day since there was no class in the evening..
